S. Society Enjoys an Evening at ine Pouch. About two hundred persons attended the annual dance of the Alumni Association of Manual Training High School, held last night at the Pouch Mansion. The hall was prettily hung with holiday greens and it needed but the dancers with their beautiful gowns to make the occasion a truly lestlve one. The dance orders were in gold and blue, the school colors, with the M.

T. H. S. seal on the cover. The proceeds of the dance will V.o into the association fund for the general expenses of the school.

Frederick Dlllman, 27 years of age, driver of a delivery wagon, was badly beaten by a couple of B. R. motormen at Union Course yesterday, and is now in St. Mary's Hospital, Jamaica, suffering from contusions of the neck and "thigh and severe bruises al'. over his body.

Dillman was driving his wagon on the westbound trolley tracks at Jamaica avenue. Union Course. Behind him came a snow-cleaning car in charge of two unknown motormen. They clanged the bell, and when Dillman did not turn out at once they assailed him with a shower of profanity. The driver resented tins, and the motor-men thereupon Jumped off the car.

They continued ou tails for the affair, and are confident that thousands of Mr. Vreeland's followers in the district will see the New Year in at the ball.
