Charles A. Ringe, Director. Additional Death Notices Additional Obituaries On Page 22 EDWARD S. KEOGH DIES; EX-LAWYER, BANK HEAD Freeport, Sept. 12-Edward Keogh, 83, retired lawyer and former president of the Citizens National Bank of Freeport, died today his home, 214 Porterfield Place.

Mr. Keogh, born in Brooklyn, was a graduate of St. Francis College and New York University Law School. He formerly resided in the Park Slope section of the borough, and at one time had his law offices at 122 Livingston St. Later he maintained offices on S.

Grove Freeport. In early life he was president of the T. A. Clarke struction Company of Brooklyn, a firm which built a number of schools and theaters in that borough, including the Strand Theater. The firm also was the builder of the Palm Beach Hotel in Florida.

Mr. Keogh was the grand knight of Redeemer Council, Knights of Columbus, in Freeport, and was a former trustee of the Holy Redeemer C. Church, here. He also had been rear-commodore of the South Shore Yacht Club. His wife, the former Margaret G.

Williams, died in 1938. Surviving are three sons, Edward S. Joseph. T. and Thomas W.

Keogh; four daughters, Mrs. George McCord, Mrs. Eugene Gilligan, Mrs. Lawrence McKeon and Margaret L. Keogh; a sister, Mrs.

Joseph J. McBeath; a brother, Francis A. Keogh, and five grandchildren. The funeral here Tuesday from the Richard Hungerford Funeral Home on Pine with a solemn requiem mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Church.

Burial will be in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury. John Petrozza, 79, Operated Tollgate Tavern in Flatbush A solemn requiem mass for John Petrozza, proprietor for many years of the Tollgate Tavern, 504 Flatbush long a Flatbush landmark, will be offered at 9:45 a.m. tomorrow in St. Francis of Assisi R. C.

A resident of Brooklyn for 60 years, he was engaged in a number of business enterprises, including the ownership of sevice cream parlors, before taking over the Tollgate Tavern, which years ago was near the tollgate between Flatbush and the City of Brooklyn. Around the turn of the century, Mr. Petrozza was active Mrs. S. M.

Duboff, Clothier's Widow Mrs. Sarah Minnie Duboff, 75, of 654 Sheffield died yesterday in Beth-El Hospital. She was the widow of Barnett L. Duboff, formerly in the cloak and suit business. Mrs.

Duboff, born in Poland, came to this country with husband in 1909. One of her sons, Herman is owner of the Park Manor Hotel in Hollywood, Cal. Another son, Rubin, is a production manager and a leader in the Boy Scout movement. Also surviving are two other sons, Murray and Jack, and three daughters, Anna B. Duboff, Mrs.

Lillian Moverman and Mrs. Evelyn Berson. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in Jeffer's Funeral Home, 426 Empire Boulevard. Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.

Hopkins, 51, a detective in the Missing Persons Bureau of the Police Department, 400 Broome Manhattan, died Friday afternoon at his desk after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Hopkins, on the force for 29 years, had just returned from a field investigation when he was stricken. He was pronounced dead a in an ambulance which was taking him to Columbus Hospital. Appointed to the force in 1924, the was promoted to detective 1932. He had received a citation for excellent police duty in 1933 for participating in the capture of two holdup men.

His home was at 189-04 64th Flushing. He is survived by his wife, former Elizabeth Reilly, a policewoman attached to the Juvenile Aid Bureau, and a daughter, Betty. H. J. Barnes, 78, Spanish War Vet Harry J.

Barnes, 78, New Jersey representative of the Security Adjustement Corporation, Brooklyn, died Thursday in St. Clare's Hospital, Manhattan. Mr. Barnes, born in Hatfield, was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, He had been with the Security Adjustment Corporation for 10 years. His home was at 128 Remsen St.

BROOKLYN EAGLE, SEPT. 13, 1953 21 Dr. Ralph Spencer Overman, Pharmaceutical Researcher Dr. Ralph Spencer Overman, from 1942 to 1947 assistant director of research for the Maltine Company, Brooklyn manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, and a collaborator in the isolation of an anti-coagulant used in the treatment of coronary thrombosis, died Thursday night in New York Hospital after a four-month illness. He was 37.

A native of Huron, S. he received a bachelor of science degree in 1938 at the University of Illinois and four years later a doctor of philosophy degree at the University of Wisconsin. In 1941 he and three young scientists working with Prof. Karl Paul Link at Wisconsin U. isolated "dicumarol," the anti-coagulant.

Dr. Overman left the Maltine Company to become a associate in medicine at Cornell University Medical College. He was named assistab4 professor of biochemisty there In 1950. At Cornell, Dr. Overman did extensive research on blood coagulants with Dr.

Irving S. Wright. He was a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the New York Academy of Science, the American Chemical Society, the Harvey Society and a number of scientific fraternities. He resided in North Tarrytown. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.

Josefina Maldonado Overman; his mother, Mrs. Oliver R. Overman of Urbana, and a brother, Dr. Joseph D. Overman of New Brunswick, N.

J. His father was a professor of dairy chemistry at the University of Illinois. Roger Hough, 45, Phone Co. Aide in the Flatbush Democratic Club, headed by the late Henry Hesterberg, former Sheriff, and father of the late Borough President of the same name. He also had been active in the Flatbush Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Josephine Reda Petrozza; two sons, Francis and Anthony, and three grandchildren, Guy, John and Frances Petrozza. Massapequa, Sept. Hough, 45, traffic supervisor at the New York Telephone Company office here, died Thursday in his home, 21 Park following a heart attack. A graduate of the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania, Mr.

Hough joined the telephone company shortly after he completed his schooling. He was active in community affairs, having served as chair man of the High School Lay Advisory Committee. Two years ago he was elected a commissioner in the Massapequa Water District. Surviving are his wife, Katherine; a daughter, Doris; a son, Donal, and a sister, Mrs. George F.
