Incorporated under that title by President Frank R. Martino. The loop, formerly known as the Shore Parkway Amateur Baseball League, is literally knocking on Wood this season. Harry Wood, an old sandlot player from the Maplewood section of this fertile borough of ours, and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, originally from the Red Hook section, where they always wanted to know whether you liked pie or cake, are running "the two Major teams in the Freshman and Grasshopper Divisions.

Two of the outstanding players on the teams are their sons, Tommy, a freshman at William E. Grady Vocational High, who roams the outfield, and Dick, a 12-year-old Seth Low Junior High pupil, a combined pitcher and outfielder with the Grasshopper outfit. POP AND MOM COACHING The team in the Freshman Division is going to set a precedent for sandlot baseball with a husband and wife on the coaching lines as manager and coach. Mrs. Wood admits she was a tomboy as a girl and played baseball with the boys in Maplewood and learned all about the game from them.

She is a former beautician and her husband is custodian engineer of P. S. 121. Julius Rosenblatt is going to pilot the Grasshoppers. The Woods got interested in the managerial end of the game through their sons playing.

They ran a baseball clinic for the youngsters of the league all Winter at P. S. 205. TO SELECT QUEEN An Innovation this season will be the crowning of a sandlot queen to be nominated by the teams in the league. The league is still accepting applications for teams to Join.

Call Martino at CL. 2-3478. Mrs. Wood admits that she is going to don one of the Majors' monkey suits of white with red piping and red hat to wear on the coaching line. She arid her husband will exchange signals for the players to follow.

They are said to have signs that even the best signal stealer in the majors, and that goes for Charley Dressen, will not.be able to decipher. BROTHERS TO HELP The Woods will have occa-' atonal help from her two brothers, Joe and Joshua Bradley, who were stellar players in Maplewood, and their dad, Tom Bradley, a noted basketball player out of Red Hook, who also played baseball. The Majors in the Freshman Division will be composed of Anthony Basile, Frank Gagliardi and John La Corte, pitchers; Pete Marino and Joe Pontiello, catchers; Howard Berwin and Frank Citino, irst base; Joe Izzo, Bobby Di Martino, President Martino's nephew, and Seymour Sackler, second base; Gabriel Ottochin, who really blows his horn, as he is studying to play the trumpet, and Anthony Chiarenza, hortstop; Larry Fama, third base. The outfield is composed of Tom Wood, Bill Langweil, Joe Rinaldi, Joe Pizzoloto. The Majors in the Grasshopper ranks have a personnel of Dick Wood, Joe Parisi, Joe Marciecai, Ralph Delli Paoli, Larry Freilich, Ivan and Jay Huertzendorf, John Maniscalco, Charles Manfredonia, Phil Ottochin, Tom Fileccia, Alex Gafa, Santo Catania, Anthony Cartisciello, Bobby Cianflone, Peter Marino, whose cousin plays on the Freshman team; Lester Rubin, Henry Klein, Thomas Esposito, Nick Marino, Leon- erd Pontrello.

LOOP TO MEET President Leo A. Banigan of the Bay Ridge Amateur Baseball League will inaugurate the seventh eeason with a meeting at Bay Ridge High School Monday night.
