McNulty, 40, Head Of the Erie Basin Ironworks Charles J. McNulty, 40, head of the Erie Basin Ironworks, which he founded in 1947, died Sunday of a heart attack in his home, 2807 Fillmore Ave. He was the son of the late Francis J. McNulty, founder of the McNulty Shipyards, and a grandson of Capt. John McNulty, who years ago was in shipbuilding business in Canada.

Mr. McNulty, who had been associated in business with his father, made a trip around the world in 1931. From 1939 to 1941 he worked with the Panama Canal Authority. He returned to the United States during World War II to resume his duties an active partner at the McNulty Shipyards, resigning the post several years later to form the Erie Basin Ironworks. Mr.

McNulty was widely known as a sportsman and at one time raced a string of thoroughbreds in various parts of the country. He was a member of the Rudder and Propeller Clubs, Surviving are his wife, Strs. R. Schuyler, Teacher's Widow Mrs. Leonora Rogers Schuyler, past president-general of the United Daughters of the Confederacy died yesterday at her home, 520 W. 114th Manhattan. Mrs.

Schuyler was born in Ocala, 84 years ago and educated in Savannah. Ga. In 1854 she was married 10 the Rev. Livingston Rowe Schuy-1 ler who subsequently became an associate professor of history at the College of the City of New York. He died in 1931.

In addition to heading the Daughters of the Confederacy from 1921 to 1923, Mrs. Schuyler was president of the Church Laymen's Association and of the Washington Headquarters Association. She was also past regent of the Manhattan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Three nieces survive. Funeral services will be held at 10 a a.m.
