MISS GLASS ENGAGED. Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Dorothy Glass, daughter of Ziegfried Glass of 566 5th to Mose Brenner of Clarkon, Tenn. Miss Glass attended Packer Institute and during the war served as a yeomanette in the navy. Mr. Brenner served as a lieutenant in the army.

CONCERT AT DORSET. I the village of. Dorset, among the mountains of Vermont, where many Brooklynites are summering, an enjoyable concert was given on Thursday evening, Aug. 25, under the leadership of Prof. J.

E. Van Olinda of Brooklyn. A very appropriate cantata, by Abt, was rendered. Among those taking part were the following Brooklynites: Prof. and Mrs.

Robert Harrold, Miss Gladys Harrold. SHOWER FOR HOLMES. Mrs. Raymond Malone gave a miscellaneous shower Tuesday afternoon at her home, 309 Pine Freeport, L. I.

for her sister, Miss Beatrice Holmes, who is to become the bride of Lt. a John McCormick of Bedford, in October. A feature of the shower, which was a surprise to Miss Holmes, was a large wedding bell of gold and white flowers filled with gifts. After an afternoon of cards a dinner. was served the guests.

Miss Holmes is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Holmes, formerly of Holmeshurst. Hempstead, and now of Prospect Park West, Brooklyn.

She is a graduate of the Sacred Heart Convent, Manhattanville, and the College of New Rochelle. INGE-PERRINE. An attractive wedding of Thursday was that of Miss Mildred Perrine of 712 8th who became the bride of Alfred Inge, also of this city. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Grattan Dockrell of Greenwood Baptist Church, in the reception room of the bride's home, which was very prettily decorated with palms and ferns and roses.

The bridal party stood under a bower of palms. The bride wore a gown of white georgette and Chantilly lace and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and baby's breath. She was attended by her sister, Miss Frances Perrine, who wore gown of pink georgette and filet lace, carrying a bouquet of pink roses and baby's breath. The bridegroom was attended by his cousin, William Cooper Willis of Brooklyn. A reception followed the ceremony.

The bride has been a kindergarten teacher in the Brooklyn public schools and is a sister of Charles Perrine, principal of one of the large public schools of Brooklyn, recently returned from Beirut, Syria. "The, Streets Wonderland," which is to be a group of bazars and series of pageants, entertainments, dances and receptions, the 13th Regt. Armory, Oct. 28 and 29, for the benefit of citizen and welfare work and Americanization, will be staged as real streets, four in all, around the sides of the drill hall of the armory.

There will be long chains of shops offering various attractive wares and part of the great space the center will be made into a tea garden, the remainder being cabaret during one evening and the scene of a card party of 400 tables on one afternoon of the affair. It has been announced that the Governor will attend one evening and that President Harding will open the features of the entertainment will be "Streets" by electricity. in Among other receptions and dances, held in the 13th's memorial hall.
