May 27 Georse William Cocks, one of Glen Cove'3 most illustrious citizens and one of the most widely known men on Long Island in genealogical and historical matters, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Isaac B. Cocks' faculties, his illness covering several days. Had he lived until next December he would have been 9 years of age. During his entire lifetime he enjoyed excellent health and only within the past close to him could see a failim; of the remarkable faculties for which Mr. Cocks was noted from one end of Long Island to the other.
