I CONVICTED BIGAMIST IS DECLARED SANE Lfonarrl Larsen of 8766 1 24th st, nichruond Hill, who on June 23 was convicted by a jury In the Queens County Court, before JudeT George V. on a charge of bigamy, and who on the following day waal sentenced to Sing Sing for from 2V4 to live years, has been declared sane. In a report compiled by Dr. Amos A. Squire of Ring King, following an examination as to his nientBI state, re-nuested by his first wife, Marie Lar-sen of Brooklyn.

In his trial It was charged that Larsen had married his second wife, Sadie Schligh Lariten of S54 Hillside Jamaica, on May 27, 1911, while his first wife, whom he had married in 1005, was still living, without the formality of procuring a divorce. At the time of his trial a question was raised as to his sanity, and he was examined, following an investigation by County Detective John butler, and found to be mentally sound. Following his conviction. Mrs. Larsen No.

1 requested Judge Andrews to institute another examination. Judge Andrews acceded to the request, and Larsen was examined after his arrival at Sing Sing, where he was subjected to observation. PORT JEFFERSON EPIDEMIC ENDED 1 (Special to The Eagle.) Port Jefferson, L. I Aug. 23 The typhoid fever scare in Port Jefferson is about at an end, no new cases of the fever having been reported for several days.

In fact, there have been no eases reported other than in the immediate where the disease first made its appearance. The people of the' village have diligently obeyed the advice of the local physicians, and this is thourht to have had much to do in confining the sickness. Notwit hstanding the many reported cases of typhoid fever in the. village during, the recent epidemic theie have only been 24 cases of the disease officially reported. Only one of the.

cases has proved fatal. ARREST SHOOTING SUSPECT A man who described himself as Pasquale Buono, 35 years old, of 1145 104th Richmond-Hill, was taken Into custody late yesterday by detectives of "Ihe Richmond Hill precinct in connection with the -shooting of Joseph Martino of 1 137 103d Richmond Hill. Martino was shot in the hand about 2 o'clock In the morning of Aug. 16, while he was passing the corner of Beaufort ave. and Hi2d a short distance from his home.
