It is caused by bacteria. These are microscopic plants. They locate themselves on the teeth, very similarly to the way moss or lichens attach themselves to rocks. Careful observation of tooth decay shows that it begins at very definite spots. The spots are: First in the pits and grooves on the grinding surfaces and between the teeth.

Secondly in the tiny V-shaped crevices formed where the rounded edge of the gums meets the teeth -The Danger Line. In these spots, the microscopic plants convert food particles into acids. It is these acids that cause decay by attacking the enamel of the teeth and dissolving it. It is also this form of acid which irritates the gums. These microscopic plants must be kept from doing harm.

But your tooth-brush cannot reach into all the crevices in your teeth. That is why millions are turning to Squibb's Dental Cream. Because Squibb's Dental Cream contains more than 50 per cent of Squibb's Milk of Magnesia it neutralizes the dangerous acids. In addition, particles of the Milk of Magnesia remain in the mouth to afford protection for a considerable time after use. Avail yourself of this safe, effective precaution.

Get a tube of Squibb's Dental Cream. Use it night and morning. At all druggists- 40c a tube. Vesper, Norman J. Pearl, Estelle Krasnow, Alfred Cronen, Catherine Finn, Florence Greene, Arthur E.

Over 3,000 cities and towns have streets paved with portland cement concrete Horse-and-Buggy Pavements Won't Do Property owners in many towns and cities whose streets swarm with motor traffic are still wasting their money on horse-and-buggy "pavements" of bygone days.

These rough, bumpy streets are directly responsible for broken springs, cut tires, greater tion of cars, physical discomfort, loss of time, and many accidents involving loss of life or limb. And the heavy expense of trying to keep worn-out, dangerous, horseand-buggy streets in repair, added to their original cost, amounts to more than enough to pay for true, even, non-skid concrete pavement that has the maintenance built in. So in the long run you are paying for concrete streets. Why not get them? All of the facts are in our free booklet on "Concrete Streets."
