It Is with, profound sorrow that we record the sudden passing of our dearly beloved friend and associate. TRIBUTE will be appropriate and beautiful If vour floral wreath is designed and prepared in Loeser's Floral- Shop Stref Side Tri A WO LOESERS Men on Delayed Job Pledges Fast Work With a force of about 50 men today excavating for the foundations of the new Kings County Hospital, a spokesman for Kenny Brothers, which haa undertaken to complete the $4,000,000 project within 550 days, said work would be rushed and the buildings completed within the specified time. Angered at the delay of the Max-well-Glbbs Construction Company, to which the contract was awarded last November on the low bid of $3,869,000, the city at first canceled the Maxwell-Olbbs contract, but later permitted the surety companies which underwrote the bid to have Kenny Brothers complete the Job. Although about four months have been lost since the award of the Maxwell-Olbbs contract, the Kenny firm said it could complete the work in 650 days from the time they took over the contract on Monday of last week.

The present condition at the hospital is acute becouse of the great increase of patients. It has been tilled to capacity during the last several days, and today, while new applicants are treated, -the hospital staff is having difficulty in placing patients in the wards. This condition is blamed largely on unemployment rather than on any increase in sickness In Brooklyn. Some penons, rather than face privations in their homes, prefer to convalesce at the hospital. The women's surgical wards have been particularly filled, and none can be admitted to the children's wards.

There- were 1,764 patients at the hospital yesterday. EVENTS TONIGHT General H- V. Kaltenborn. associate editor of Trie Kitgie, speaKs on "tjurrrni ivenii over Station WARC. 7 to 7:30.
