Of even more Importance, Champions have gono through these various races without change something previously unheard of in motorcar racing. Thanksgiving Day at Beverly Hills. Bennett Hill finished first, and every car among the first ten was Champion equipped. Again at Beverly Hills, Feb. Ii4, 1924, Fengler. nsinif' the same plugs, set a new world'B record for 250 miles, averaging the tremendous speed of 16.0 miles an hour.

Shortly after Tommy Milton, on the dry lake bed at Lake Muroc, made the fastest mile ever covered by a human being with a small bore engine, when he drove his Champion-equipped Miller Special 151 miles an hour. It remained for the world's speed classic (the 600-mile IndiRnapolis race) to add olie of the finishing touches to the record. Every car that was running at the finish of the race last Memorial Day was Champion equipped. The purpose of the trip is to demonstrate that motorbus design and sturdiness have now reached a point where vehicles of this type may be depended upon to render adequate passenger transportation between cities not now linked by railroads.
