Miss Alice Burk and Mrs. Agnew took the affirmative side, with Miss Jessie Kelly offering the refutation and the negative side was voiced by the Misses Eleanor Connelly and Evelyn McCotter with Irma Sullivan giving the refutation. The affirmative side won. The judges were selected from the audience.

In 1923 the Christmas "boys," all members of various Masonic lodges, met and donated money, food and clothes for 20,000 needy children in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The committee of 10 has met every Christmas since 1923.
