The Misses Jane and Lucie Alcott are organizing a group of debutantes. On Friday three simultaneous art exhibitions at Guild Hall will open. of special interest is the Memorial Exhibition of the work of Ruth Dean, well -known landscape architect, who in private life was Mrs. Aymar Embury II of New York and East Hampton. Mrs.

Embury planned many notable gardens throughout this country; she designed many gardens particularly on New York's upper east side recently reclaimed as a smart residential district, and last Summer designed the gardens of Guild Hall, of which Mr. Emburp was the architect. Shortly, before her death last month out the plans for a new public park in East Hampton. The Memorial Exhibit will include models, water color sketches, photographs and drawings of some of Mrs. Embury's best-known gardens.

Mrs. William A. Lockwood, president of the Garden Club of America, heads the honorary committee planning this exhibit. With her are a group of Mrs. Embury's friends: Mrs.

Lido Country Club to Be Scene of Many Festivities An elaborate program has been planned for the celebration of July 4 weekend at the Lido Country Club, Lido Beach, L.

I. The holiday festivities will begin on Friday evening with a dance on the outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean. Many dinners will precede the dancing and several interesting features of entertainment will be provided during the evening. The weekly bridge and backgammon tournaments will be played on Friday and Saturday. Some of the other diversions over Sunday and the holiday will include a fashion show and tea dance on the outdoor terrace on the afternoon of July 4 and the annual aquatic events for juniors at the outdoor pool.

The activities sports will include the finals in the Women's Metropolitan Tennis championship, the appearance of the Tilden group of players on Sunday and the club tournament championship for golfers over the 18-hole course. Garrard. Roslyn Art Exhibit to Open Friday for Summer Season The Roslyn art exhibit, the first of its kind on the north shore of Long Island, will open its doors Friday and continue throughout July, August and September. Sponsored by prominent art devotees, it is supported by the Chamber of Commerce of the Roslyn district and is approved by the Long Island Chamber of Commerce. Oil paintings, water colors, woodcuts, sketches, etchings, old prints, sculpture, portraits, curios, relics, early American and French antiques and a collection of old farming implements and Indian relics, will be the principal attractions. The exhibit will be housed in the Old Orchard Inn Barn, which is in the center of 35 acres of beautiful woodland only partly cultivated.

June 25-A weekly duplicate contract bridge tournament will be inaugurated at the Atlantic Beach Club on Thursday evening. The Fourth of July weekend celebration will start on Friday night, There will be a three-day miniature golf tournament, a three-day mixed double tennis tourney. On Saturday there will be a ping pong tournament and an exhibition match by Herbert W. Allen, international ping pong expert, and Chester Wells third ranking player in the United States. On Sunday the first mixed doubles backgammon tourney of the season will take place.

On Monday there will be gymkhana swimming races and a swimming and diving exhibition by Charles Norelius.
