A. To Dedicate Tree in Hempstead Special to The Eagle Hempstead, L. Feb 27 Lorjl Stirling Chapter, D. A. will dedicate a tree recently planted by the chapter at the Fulton St.

school on Wednesday afternoon. The ceremonies will follow a business meeting at the school and are railed for 3 o'clock. The Rev. John S. Haight, rector of historic St.

George's Episcopal Church, will be the speaker, having for his topic, "George- Washington." A group of 16 pupils from the Jackson St. School will dance the minuet, in costume. The committee in charge of he dedication includes: Mrs. Louis Miller, Mrs. C.

The chapter has organized a committee to be known as the Hempstead historical committee, to co-operate with the Hemnstead Library in the formation of a collection o'. books, pamphlets and research workers on the history of Long Island and more especially, that of Hempstead.
