Aug. 6-Miss CuyYer Nicholl will leave Monday for the Wyoming ranch of Mr. and Mrs. Prentice Gray, where she will be the guest month of their mother, Lancey Nichol, daughter, alter Barbara Gray.

Her and her younger sister, Nichol, will also depart on a SOjourn Monday. They will go to California, where they expect be in time to witness the final Olympics at Los Angeles, after which they will go to Santa Barbara, returning home after Labor Day. On Aug 15, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cartwright Jr.

will go to the Tahawis Club in the Adirondacks, where they will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. Farrar Bateson of Lawrence, who have closed their home for the season and are Summering there. Mr.

Aug. 6-Mrs. Guy Richards who has been visiting Miss Louise Kellogg at Williamstown, for the past two weeks, will return home Monday, Mrs. Ethelbert I. Low will leave Monday on a ten-day motor trip through the New England States, during which she will stop off to visit friends.

Mr. and Mrs. George W. Van Siclen are on a ten-day motor trip through the New England States and a visit with their daughter, Miss Elise Irving Van Siclen, is at camp at Singing Eagle Lodge, Centre Harbor, N. H.

Aug. 6 -A flower show, under the direction of the Quantuck Horticultural Society and the Westhampton Garden Club, will be held at the Westhampton Country Club on Wednesday and Thursday. The judges will be Julius King of Southampton, George Ruppel of Bridgehampton, and Fred Sparkes Oakdale. Besides the exhibits vegetables and flowers by the Horticultural Society, there will be of exhibits from the Garden Club.

These will include: Arrangement of flowers in front of a mirror, suitable for a hall; Flower decoration for refreshment trays for the garden; Informal dinner table set for four or six, with candles; Good and bad arrangement of flowers in identical containers; Soup toureens decorated with any flowers; Pairs of miniature vases; Brown jars or pitchers with zinias; Best arrangement of flowers for dining room table, not over 20 inches in height; Arrangement in Japanese -berries, foliage, or flowers; and white flowers arranged in a white container. The three children's classes include: Arrangement of wild flowers by children between the ages of 6 to 12 years; Arrangement of garden flowers by children of 12 to 16 years; and doll's tea table set for four by children of 5 to 12 years. Mrs. Clarence L. Altemus of Beach Lane is chairman of the flower show committee for the Westhampton Garden Club.

Baldwin Flower Show Special to The Eagle Baldwin, L. Aug. 6 The second annual dahlia and flower show of Baldwin will be held Saturday, Sept. 10 at the high school building. There will be seven sections, including 46 classes of entries.

A meeting for all entrants will be held the evening of Sept. 8, when final instructions will be given. Mrs. C. C.

A. W.Canfield, the chairman of the department, selected a committee forming plans and arranging schedules for the annual Fall flower show, to be held at the club's Fall opening in September. The show committee consists of following members: Mrs. Edmund M. Blake, chairman, and Miss Ida M.

James Edmund will have charge of all printing in connection with the show. An interesting calendar has been arranged for the month of August at the Sands Point Bath Club, at Port Washington, L. I. Besides the regular Wednesday and Saturday dinner dances, the Friday Shore dinners and the Saturday and Sunday tea dances other events will be held. Next Friday night Tony Sarg will direct his marionette show, while the following night a county fair will be held.

On Friday night, Aug. 19, a cabaret show will be featured, and a week later the "Evening in Montmarte" will be one of the high spots of the season. In the line of sports the Sands Point trophy swimming races will be held each Saturday afternoon. Several deck tennis meets scheduled for the month. Next Sunday a men's singles tournament will be held, followed by a junior meet on Saturday, Aug.

20, and mixed doubles the following day. On Sunday, Aug. 28, a volley ball tournament will be featured. A duplicate contract bridge tournament under the direction of Mrs. Howard Lincoln Close will be held on Saturday afternoon.

On Aug. 27 a backgammon tournament will be held. Last night there were wrestling matches on the marine terrace at the club. This afternoon a sunburn dinghy regatta will be held. A special eight bells beefsteak dinner, served on the marine terrace of the club, will follow the event.
