Berkeley Dramatic Club Gives Bridge at School The Dramatic Club of the Berkeley Institute gave a bridge party in the library of the school yesterday afternoon. Miss Loraine Preston is president of the club. Mrs. Theodore Martin Hardy presented Miss Frances Grant, vice president of the museum who recently returned from South America and presented a group of singers and dancers from Argentina in colorful native costumes. They were accompanied by Gaucho guitarists and players of native instruments. Native groups from Mexico, Bolivia and Chile sang tropical melodies and danced tangos. Agustin Cornejo, solo guitarist and singer, was heard in songs of the Argentine pampas.

Simons, former lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps, and whose life has been written up by Ripley, spoke before the East New York Jewish Center, in the Bnei Jacob Synagogue, Miller and Glenmore last night. Mr. Simons, who swam in two lakes. two rivers and two oceans, all within eight hours, described briefly several of his narrow escapes from death. These consisted of crashing in airplanes on two ditferent occasions, being hit by an auto traveling at the rate of 40 miles an hour, being hit by the locomotive of a freight train, being chased by two mad bulls, having been thrown off of a precipice by a horse, being shot at by two drunkards in Mexico and similar incidents.
