BROOKLYN DAILY EAGLE, NEW YORK, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 1933 11 Miss Kintzing Shows Home Guild Visitors How to Lend Flavor to Everyday Dishes Molded Crabmeat Salad, Chicken Pie, Specials On Demonstration List Flavor, after all is said appetizing food, according to a lecture-demonstration at The afternoon. No matter how declared, unless it has theright taste it will not make hit. Miss Kintzing, who appeared at the Guild through the courtesy of the home economics department of the Maggi Company, took as her topic "The Final Touch That Makes Each Dish a Favorite." The "final touch" in this case meant several dashes of Maggi's Seasoning which she added to each of the dishes she prepared in the presence of the audience. Miss Kintzing has a pleasing platform manner and a happy knack of sandwiching in little amusing stories that help to keep her hearers on the qui vive and add to the effectiveness of her demonstrations. Kintzing began by telling her audience that she realized fully that housewife had many kitchen problems and that her object in coming to the Home Guild was to help solve some of those problems by preparing dishes that could not fail to tempt jaded appetites.

She laid special emphasis the need of making "left-overs" attractive and appetizing and for this purpose she prepared casserole dish with chicken as the foundation which was flavored with a sauce that was given a piquant taste by a few dashes of Maggi's Seasoning. When she was preparing the stuffed eggs Miss Kintzing took occasion to recommend this dish as being perfectly suited for children's school luncheons, with the substitution pickles or some other ingredient for the caviar. According to Miss Kintzing she finds more uses for Maggi's Seasoning on vegetable dishes than on any others. Miss Kintzing was able to prepare a number of dishes, owing to the fact that she had all of her ingredients conveniently at hand wrapped in waxed paper. She recommended this plan to her audience, as a great deal of time is saved when portions are measured and wrapped up well ahead of time and placed in the refrigerator to be a taken out when needed.

Mrs. Wardman, director of the Home Guild, gave her customary food talk. Demonstrated Recipes Molded Crabmeat Salad 2 tablespoons granulated gelatine cup cold water cup boiling water cup lemon juice 3 tablespoons vinegar teaspoon salt 2 cups flaked crabmeat cup diced celery 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento 1 teaspoon onion juice cup mayonnaise Several dashes of Maggi's Seasoning Lettuce Radishes Soften the gelatine in cold water and dissolve in boiling water.
