2-3 cup sour milk 1 egg 1 tablespoon fat, melted Mix ingredients and beat one minute. Half fill greased muffin pans, bake 15 minutes in moderate oven. "One of the Finer Things of Life" was the topic chosen by William E. Temple for his informal talk given yesterday J'-afternoon at The Eagle Home Guild. Mr. Temple is one of the executives of the Ray Hawley Associates, makers of Guild, made a Coffee Souffle, using Lurient as a flavoring, thus demonstrating another ot the several uses for this product. Mrs.

Using little mathematics, Mr. Temple showed that about 34 days are taken from each year of the average housewife's life through the process of making coffee. Temple's point of view, are many and varied. He classed the product as "one of the finer things of life" because it takes only three seconds to make a cup of coffee. All one needs to do, he explained, Is to "put a tea-- spoonful of the Lurient liquid into a cup of boiling water, add cream and sugar if you like, drink and enjoy." The individual tastes of the members of the family can be catered to without the least trouble and best of all, no matter how many unexpected guests happen to drop in, the housewife who has lurient in her cupboard doesn't get extra speck of worry on her "Ciind beyond the boiling of more water. Miss Jeanette Naekel. one pint John Daily Recipe Killarney Cake 1 cup butter 2 cups sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder 3 cups flour (pastry) 4 eggs, separated 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon almond extract Cream the butter well, add the sugar then egg yolks well beaten.

Mix and sift dry ingredients and add alternately with the milk. Add extract. Beat batter well until smooth and light. Fold in egg whites beaten stiff. Bake in a greased loaf pan in a moderate oven, 350 degrees 45-50 minutes.

Ice with green coconut frosting. Green Coconut Frosting: 1 egg white 1 tablespoon white corn syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup granulated sugar 2 tablespoons water Speck salt 1 cup coconut Green vegetable coloring Have water boiling in lower part of double boiler. In top part put the unbeaten egg white, sugar, water, salt, syrup. With an egg beater beat the mixture continuously for 7 minutes. Let the water continue boiling, while beating the mixture.

Then remove the boiler from the flame, put cold water in bottom part. Replace upper part and let stand for 5 minutes. Use green vegetable coloring and toss coconut in it. Spread cake with frosting and decorate with the green coconut. NO MORE A real ducks treat! Serve one of these young grain-fed for dinner.

McLoughlin, of The Eagle staff, gave a summary of the big news of the day. RECIPES DEMONSTRATED AT EAGLE HOME GUILD St. Patrick's. Day Mint Salad 1 package mint gelatine cup boiling water 1 cup grapefruit juice segments from 1 grapefruit maraschino cherries li cup canned pineapple cut in segments watercress Dissolve gelatine in boiling water, scald grapefruit juice; mix; chill; arrange grapefruit sections in mold. When gelatine is slightly thickened turn some into mqld, taking care noUto move the fruit.

Chill. Add more fruit and liquid. Unmold on watercress. Serve with mayonnaise dressing. Coffee Souffle cup coffee concentrate "i cup sugar 1-3 cup top milk 2 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons flour 4 eggs teaspoon salt Melt the butter and add the flour pour in the milk, gradually, and then the coffee concentrate.

Let thicke nfor two minutes on the stove. Beat the egg yolks until lemon colored and thick; add the sugar and beat again. Combine the coffee mixture with the egg yolks, add salt, and set aside to cool. Fold in the stiffly beaten whites; pour into a lightly buttered bakine-dish and bake in a moderate oven (350 25 minutes. Serve at once with whipped cream.
