He was recipient of the Order of the Purple Heart. He was born in Brooklyn and served with the Supply Company, 165th in the old 69th Division. He is survived by his mother, Mary; a brother, George, and four sisters, Mary Hackett, Florence McGrath, Josephine and Gertrude Landolina. JACOB JORGENSEN, a pilot in New York Harbor for many years, died Tuesday in his home, 19 Battery Ave. He was born in Norway and lived here for many years.

He leaves his wife, Lise; four daughters, Erma, Lily, Esther and Mildred, and a son, Walter. The funeral services will be held at p.m. tomorrow in Norwegian Lutheran Church, 80th St. and 4th Ave. Burial will in Evergreens Cemetery.

MRS. KATHRYN L. REYNOLDS KOUFIELD, wife of William H. Koufield, died Tuesday at her home, 154 Highland Place, had been In poor health since the death of her only son, William L. Koufeld, three years ago.

Mrs. Koufleld was born in Brooklyn 48 years ago and was a member of St. Michael's R. C. Church, Jerome where a solemn requiem mass will be offered tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. FRANCIS WALSH of 462 62d St. died Tuesday after a short Illness, He Was fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, belonging to Nativity Council. He also was a member of the Holy Name Society and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Club.

A sister, Mrs. Margaret Walsh Quirk, survives him. A solemn mass of requiem will be offered tomorrow at 9:30 a.m, in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 59th St. and 5th Ave. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

MRS. LEOPOLDINE ANSTOS, 7 77, of 8922 236th Bellerose, L. died Tuesday. She was born in New York City and formerly resided for many years in Ridgewood. She made her home in Bellerose for the past four years.

M. LOUISE YOUNG of 357 Carlton Ave. died yesterday at her home after an illness of two months. She was born at Warehouse Point, a daughter of the late Isaac and Ellen Schwab. She WAS resident of Brooklyn for 35 years, for- Ends His Life to Save Wife From Poverty Samuel Galitzka, Reputed Once to Be a Millionaire, Left Notes Explaining That Little He Has Left Will Take Care of Her "So that my wife will be provided for by the little money I have left and my insurance," Samuel Galitzka, who was once a wealthy realty operator in the Midwood section of Flatbush, took his own life late yesterday afternoon.

Made Careful Preparations According to Medical Examiner Auerbach, Galitzka made elaborate preparations before turning on the jets. He went home in the midafternoon, undressed in the bedroom and donned his pijamas. MRS. MARTHA MONTGOMERY MeKEEVER, widow of Thomas McKeever and former resident of Brooklyn, died yesterday. The funeral will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Rieman, 103 Coolidge Irvingion, N. J.
