Long Island Society Lady Moira Forbes and Comte L. deBrantes Will Be Married in Ireland Announcement has been made of the engagement of Lady Moira Mary Forbes, elder daughter of the Earl and Countess of Granard, and a granddaughter late Ogden Mills, to Comte Louis deBrantes, son of the Marquis and Marquise de Brantes of Paris. The wedding will take place at Castle Forbes, Newtown 1 Forbes, County Longford, Irish Free State, on Dec. 20.

Lady Moira, who is now in France, is the niece of Ogden L. Mills of Cold Spring Harbor, former Secretary of the Treasury. Her aunt is Mrs. Henry Carnegie Phipps of Manhattan and Palm Beach. The Brantes family has a distinguished name in France.

Mr. and Mrs. John R. Fell are having a country home built at Woodbury. The house, which will be completed in a few months, is near the estate of Mr.

Fell's mother, Mrs. Ogden L. Mills. Mrs. Arthur Ryle has closed her house at Locust Valley and is at the Westbury, Manhattan, for the season.

Francis Irving Woodburn's twin sons, John Alden and Oliver Wagstaff Woodburn, were christened in the Garden City Cathedral recently. The Rev. Lawson Willard Jr. officiated. The children will be enrolled in the Sons of the American Revolution.

Madison Girl Reserves held spaghetti supper on Friday evening following which Miss Esther Taylor, who was a guest at the supper, taught the girls some spirituals. New Junior Girl Reserves at the Central Branch were entertained this week at a "chocolate" party given by the membership department of branch of which Mrs. Harrington Putnam is chairman. The Misses Laura and Kathryn Maggio and Georgianna McGill were in charge of the refreshments. The Jolly Girls of the Greenpoint Branch will hold a Thanksgiving party on Wednesday.

This club of 36 grade school girls is preparing a Christmas play under the direction of Miss Florence Baker as part of the club program. Dolls of many nations are being made by members who are not participating in the dramatic project. Miss Lucille Cromer is directing a group of the Hi-Ho Girls at the Ashland Place Branch in a Christmas play entitled, "Christmas Carols." The Misses Garner and Harris are directing a large group of girls in the singing of Christmas carols. A Thanksgiving party was given on Friday at the branch for all girls. A group of girls from the dancing class gave several numbers and Thanksgiving songs were sung.

The Power Club of the International Institute held an installation service of the new officers on Friday evening conducted by club adviser, Miss Helen Uniss. The officers are president, Regina Mendozona; vice president, Agnes Conway; secretary, Consuelo Solis, and treasurer, Gladys Olsey. A social hour followed.
