Red roses in green Italian pottery vases were used as table decorations and as favors to carry out the Italian color scheme, Italy being the subject of study.

Miss Isley B. Benson gave recitations. There were competitive games for which prizes were given. The games touched on the year's study of Italy. Those present were Mrs.

Bernard violinist, and Jacob Schwartzdorf. pianist, will give the joint recital which is for the benefit of the Scholarship Fund of the settlement. At present he is Counsellor at the Italy Embassy in London.

Miss Ritchell spoke on "The Passing Scene," giving a brief resume of current events. Mrs. Wilma Schwabacher led in the discussion which followed. Mrs. Anna Berwitz assisted the hostess in serving tea during a brief intermission.

Miss Ritchell read several original poems and spoke on Henry the Writer and the Man." Mrs. Jean Greenfield presided and Mrs. Eileen Rosenberg and Mrs. Henrietta Weinstein acted as secretary and recording secretary, Mrs. Sara Fink of Mt.

Vernon and Miss Bera of Manhattan were guests of Israel. Fifty members were present. The club will meet Monday afternoon with Mrs. Anna Abrashkin of 1776 Union St. when Miss Ritchell will speak on Pearl S.

Buck's "The Mother." 'STATISTICAL DANCE' The Knickerbocker Field Club had a statistical dance last evening. Invitations to the unusual affair were issued with a general request that guests come prepared with personal statistics of their height, weight, age, glove and shoe sizes and so on. After each dance these statistics were checked by drawing a slip from a hat, designating which measurement would be the lucky one. If the tallest couple was to be chosen each dancing couple combined their respective heights and the tallest one received a prize. There was a surprise after each dance.

Leahy of 608 2d St. Beck Gives Fourth Philosophy Talk Miss Alberta Prigge Bride Of Robert Wells Zabriskie; Married in Manhattan Church Miss Alberta Prigge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Albert Prigge of 290 Riverside Drive, Manhattan, was married yesterday afternoon 1 to Ropert Wells Zabriskie, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Lansing Zabriskie of 149 E. 73d Manhattan, and Aurora, N. Y. The was performed in Holy Lutherceremony, an Church, Manhattan, by the pastor, the Rev. Cecil C.

Hine. A reception followed at the Hotel Plaza. Miss Prigge was given in marriage by her father and wore a princess gown of old ivory satin, made with a cowl neck and trimmed with a collar embroidered in seed pearls. Her long pointed train was a continuation of the skirt and her veil of duchesse lace is an heirloom in the Zabriskie family. It was attached to a cap embroidered with seed pearls and caught at either with small clusters of orange blossoms.

The bridal bouquet was of orchids and valley lilies. Miss Elizabeth Scheffey of Glen Ridge, N. was maid of honor and wore A Copenhagen blue crepe dress, made with a short train and short sleeves. She wore a toque, the top made of flowers of the same material as her dress and trimmed with a tulle veil. She carried yellow tea roses.

The bridesmaids, the Misses Sylvia Smith of East Orange; Florence Mead of Hastings-on-Hudson and Elinor Stettig and Doris Redman of Manhattan, wore gowns of petunia color, made the same as that worn by Miss Scheffey. They carried arm bouquets of Spring flowers. Mr. Zabriskie had his father as his best man and John Zabriskie, Charles Dunbar, Thomas VanKirk Douglas and E. Eldridge Smith as ushers.

The bridegroom is a grandson of Mrs. Nicholas L. Zabriskie and the late Mr. Zabriskie, who were residents of Flatbush for many years. The bride is a graduate of Barnard College and of Wells College, and Mr.

Zabriskie is an alumnus of the Hill and Roxbury Schools and attended where he was a Vallie St. Anthony and Yale Glee Clubs. Mr. and Mrs. Zabriskie are motoring to New Orleans where they will remain for about four months and then go to Dallas, Texas, to make their home for two years.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward G. Sperry of 155 Henry St. left today by train for Nassau, where they will spend a fortnight.

Beck delivered the fourth lecture of a series on "A Philosopher Looks at the World," last night, at the Brooklyn Jewish Center. Dr. Beck's lecture was divided into three sections. The first part dealt with the first manifestaions of belief in magic, and immediately following this, in the same phase, the appearance of the poet metaphysicians creation of the cosmic myth. second section them had to do with the Hebrew prophets and the wide departure that their philosophy took from the writings preceding them.

The conclusion of the lecture dealt mainly with teachings of Buddha. The concluding lecture in the current series will be delivered next Wednesday night at the Brooklyn Jewish Center. SAILED FOR BERMUDA Mrs. A. J.
