What are the prospects for the early adoption of color photography for movie plavs? A. A film entitled "The Legend of Troubled Waters," a Chinese fantasy-drama. In which the natural colors of the objects before the camera are reproduced, seems to forecast the early general adoption of color photography for the movies. The new invention surmounts all technical barriers to realism, and' promises results greater than those achieved in the Kngllsh picture, "The Glorious Adventure," made by the Prisma system. Q.

Church of St. Hicks and Warren will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his rectorship at the church on next Sunday with a high mass of thanksgiving and following the mass the parishioners will hold a reception in his honor at which Eugene J. Cook, president of the Federation of Catholic Societies and one of the parishioners, will deliver an address.

On the following Saturday Father Fitzgerald, accompanied by his brother, the Rev. Maurice Fitzgera'd. rector of the Church of St. Gregory, will sail for Europe. They will spend about a month in Ireland.

H. STEENWERTH DIES John H. Steenwerth, 60 years old, a lawyer, whose office was at 967 Broadway, and who for many years enjoyed a large practice in that vicinity, died Wednesday at his home. 407 E. 3d where the funeral services will be held on Friday evening, at 8 o'clock.

In his younger days Mr. Steenwerth took an active part in politics in the Eastern District. He was bnrn in Brooklyn and had lived here all his life. He is survived by his wife, Ada Proctor, a son, John H. a daugh ter, Mrs.
