An attractive bride of last week was Miss Katherine Ferry, now Mrs. Alfred William Birch, who was married on the evening of November 3rd in St. Luke's Church, Clinton Avenue. SERIES OF DELIGHTFUL social affairs culA minated in the wedding on Saturday evening, November 3rd, of Miss Katherine Ferry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Darius Ferry of 530 Fourth Street, and Mr. Alfred William Birch, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Birch of 537 Putnam Avenue, at St.

Luke's Church, Clinton Avenue. The Rev. Rush R. Sloane, D. Rector, officiated.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, looked charming in a period gown of white bridal satin with a court train. She wore a tulle veil bordered with rose point lace and dotted with tiny clusters of orange blossoms. Her flowers were bridal roses, sweet peas and lilies of the valley. Miss Lothian Kerr as maid of honor wore a period gown of green reseda taffeta faced with maize and trimmed with bows of the green taffeta at the back. She carried yellow chrysanthemums.

The bridesmaids were all dressed alike in ruffled gowns of two shades of yellow chiffon, made longer in the back. They carried russet chrysanthemums. They were the Misses Jean Elizabeth Crego, Jeanette Candee, Fannie Poole, Helen Hegeman, Marion Jughardt and Grace Marcley. Mr. Everett Howell Birch was best man for his brother, whose ushers included the Messrs.

William Wishart Herbert Poole, Harold Poole, Morton Matthews, Cornelius Banta and Purcell Robertson. The Church and the rooms at the Hotel Bossert where a large reception was held after the ceremony were decorated with chrysanthemums, palms and Southern smilax. Miss Ferry attended Packer Collegiate Institute and has been for several years assistant secretary at Berkeley Institute. Mr. and Mrs.

Birch will make their home in Brooklyn upon their return from a motor trip through New England. 'THE announced ENGAGEMENT at dance of Miss given Ferry June and 2nd, Mr. 1927, and a many festivities have been given in honor of the engaged couple since that time. A bridge and kitchen shower for the bride was given by Miss Jeanette Candee at her home, 555 Ocean Avenue. Miss Margery Booth entertained a miscellaneous shower and bridge at her home, 191 Ludlam Place, on October 17th.

Mrs. Thomas Joyce (Marion Bishop) gave one of the earliest parties, a BROOKLYN LIFE bridge on June 27th, at her home 618 East Twenty-first Street. Miss Fannie Ingalls of 441 Ocean Avenue, gave a silk stocking shower on September 22nd; Miss Carolyn Ruefer of 560 East Seventeenth Street gave a handkerchief shower on September 29th; Miss Fanny Poole of 488 Putnam Avenue gave a linen shower and bridge in October 6th; a miscellaneous shower and bridge was given by Miss Grace Marcley at her home, 218 St. James Place, on October 20th. A bridge was given for Miss Ira L.

Hill MRS. JOHN TALBOT CURTIS Whose wedding took place on Monday, November 5th, at the First Presbyterian Church. She is the daughter of Mrs. Charles R. Buckley of 112 Montague Street and Newburgh-on-Hudson.

Mishkin. Ferry and her bridal party on October 19th, by Miss Marion Jughardt at her home, 318 Sterling Place. Miss Lothian Kerr gave a bridge at her home, 460 Clinton Avenue, on October. 23rd, for the entire bridal, party, and Miss Ferry entertained the bridal party at her home on Friday evening, November 2nd. LEHRENKRAUSS recently gave a bridge and stocking shower at her home, 121 Whitehall Boulevard, Garden City, in honor of Miss Evelyn Kellock, who will be married to Mr. Charles Heath on November 17th. The guests were the Misses Marion Fitter and Janet Mills of Garden City, and Dorothy Burroughs, Phyllis Barnes, Janet Dalzell, Geraldine Swimm, Mrs. J. Drew Catlin (Helen Carr), Mrs.

Arthur H. French, Mrs. James Kellock and Mrs. Katherine M. Lehrenkrauss.
