Lauer, of 1085 Lafayette Avenue, left last week for Danville, where he will enter Center College. Miss Jean M. Wells, of 1612 Eighth Avenue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.

W. Wells, is the only Brooklyn girl attending Mount Allison College in New Brunswick, N. S. She is taking the four-year course in three years. Exhibition Due to Mrs.

Hyde There is no one to whom the people of Brooklyn owe greater thanks than they do to Mrs. Clarence: R. Hyde, of 242 Henry Street, for the tremendous amount of work she did in gathering together the exhibits of costumes, quilts, coverlets, samples, laces, embroideries, and other related objects, for the exhibition of Early American Handicraft which had its opening at the Brooklyn Museum on February 4th. And another who did splendid work in making the exhibition so satisfying was Mr. Paul J.

Woodward, the Curator of Decorative Art at the Museum, who cooperated with Mrs. Hyde in every way, and the artistic The Ways and Means Committee's Third Card Party On Thursday, January 31st, the Ways and Means'Com-mittee of the Brooklyn Music School Settlement held the last of their successful afternons of bridge and Mah Jong at the home of Mrs. Otto Goetze. L. Phillips, of Brooklyn, a Senior at Bowdoin, has been appointed student assistant in chemistry. Miss Elizabeth Small, of 32 Montgomery Place, is active in hockey at Vassar. She is a sophomore. Mr.

Donald J. 135 Bergen Street, is secretary of the Philosophical Academy at Holy Cross. He is one of several Brooklyn boys who will be graduated this June from the Massachusetts College. Mr. Cornelius Ruxton Love, son of Dr, and Mrs.

Cornelius R. Love, of 167 Ginton Street, has been elected one of a committee of seven to draw up a constitution for the Yale Play Craftsmen. Miss Kathryn M. Linzmeyer, daughter of Mrs. Louis Linzmeyer, of 1111 Park Place, is a student at the College of New Rochelle.

Mr. Quentin Reynolds, of 231 Park Place, who played tackle on Brown's strong football team, is now representing the Providence institution on the swimming team. His specialty is the, 100-yard breaststroke, in which event he is considered one of the best swimmers in collegiate circles. Mr. William R.

Conklin, of 428 Sixth Street, is a member of the Columbia University Glee Club. Miss Jessie E. Ashworth, of 458 First Street, plans to enter Smith College next Fall. Mr. Wallace Wegge, of the Clarendon Hotel, took a leading part in "The Shadow in the Dark," a three-act melodrama recently produced by the Theatre Intime at Princeton.

There are 672 exhibits, each one the joy and pride of the family who loaned it, which gave an added responsibility to the work of Mr, Woodward and Mrs. Hyde The opening of the exhibit of Early American Handicraft was a brilliant affair, about 1,900 persons being present between the hours of three and six.

There was music which had a wonderful effect of blending as it rolled about the great high ceilinged reception hall; and tea was served all afternoon. On account of the gathering together of so many old friends, which made the afternoon very pleasant indeed, it was a little hard to make note of the exhibits.
