BROOKLYN LIFE. 22 Festival of Music THE sixtieth anniversary of the Mollenhauers in the United States was celebrated by a Festival of Music in the Academy of Music on Friday evening of last week. Mr. Louis Mollenhauer, Mr. Henry Mollenhauer, Mr.

Louis Mol-lenhauer, and Mr. William H. Specht played "Dance of the Elves" and "Nocturne" from Mendelssohn's "Midsummer Night's Dream" for four violins and presented their pupils in varied numbers of an interesting program. Those who participated were Miss Catherine Wille, Miss' Mariella Koch, Miss Olive Lodge, Miss Sadie Harden, Miss Elinor Hawkins, Miss Josephine Broome, Mrs. Harold E.

"Madam President" has been an international success and it has enjoyed long runs in France, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Italy, and now, with the title "Who's the Lady?" is one of the dramatic sensations of London.

The principal members of the cast are George Giddens, W. J. Ferguson, John W. Dean, Charles Laite, George Brennan, Jack J. Horwitz, Frank Dawson, Reynolds Sweetland, Elene Foster, Amy Lee, Minna Gombel and Alice Kelly.

Matinees will be given on Wednesday and Saturday and the Wednesday matinee will be at popular prices. JAMES K. HACKETT will play at the Broadway Theater next week in "The Grain of Dust," which is considered by many his most successful play. James K. Hackett is a good actor and the fact that he has recently inherited a lot of money will also attract some people to go to see him.

M-T HE BLINDNESS OF VIRTUE" will be presented at 1 the Majestic Theater next week by William Morris's company of English players. "The Blindness of Virtue," "by Cosmo Hamilton, has been described as "a gripping play of love and life." WILLIAM FAVERSHAM in' "The Squaw Man" will be a feature of the bill at the Orpheum next week. He will be supported by a capable company in this presentation and a condensed version of the play will be given. "The Last of the Quakers," an idyllic comedy, will be given by Her-mine Shone and Company. Other numbers will be Sallie Fisher, musical comedy star, and Hines and Fox, from song-land.

AT the DeKalb Theater, Cecil Spooner will play in her own dramatization of "One Day," for the week beginning Monday. The novel is one of Elinor Glyn's and deals with the love affair of a Southern girl and a crown prince. Miss Spooner will play the role of Opal, the Southern girl; Victor Southerland, Paul, the lover, and others in the cast, will be Milton Bromley, Father Paul; Lillian Schaffner, a grande dame, and Ray Martinez, a French count. Jessie Mae Hall and Jack W. Lewis will have the comedy parts.

PROCTOR'S FIFTH AVENUE THEATER, in Manhattan, offers a good program of vaudeville numbers. The attractions next week will be Anna Chanler; "The Telephone Tangle," presented by Joseph Hart; John and Mae Burke in "A Ragtime Spencer and Williams, comedians; Frances Nordstrom, with William Pinkham, in "A Domestic the four Harveys; Wallace Galvin, and Lawton, juggler. PI dpi ayers, ays an FANNIE WARD in "Madam President," will be the attraction at the Montauk next week.
