A very pretty noon wedding of last Saturday was that of Miss Katharine Royce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Herbert Royce of 1189 Dean Street, and Lieutenant Arthur B. Busch, son of Mrs. G.

John A. E. Turney, 130 Lincoln Road, on Friday, May third The affair was successful beyond the expectations of the committee and the attendance overtaxed the capacity of Mrs. Turney's home, so that the home of Mrs. Turney's father, Mr! Richard Young, was opened also to accommodate the players.

There were fifty-four tables of bridge and the proceeds of the afternoon were about seven hundred and fifty dollars, the prizes being thrift stamp folders with two stamps attached. Just before the playing began, the Liberty Loan parade passed the house and was witnessed by the entire party, giving a timely interest to the event. The camp for the boys is situated on the shore of a fresh, clear lake in the Palisades Interstate Park and besides storing up health and the memories of good times, the boys make themselves useful by helping to cultivate the gardens of the Camp. The committee for the bridge was in charge of Miss Rosamund Roberts and assisting her were Miss Charlotte Coles, Mrs. George W.

The last of the monthly card parties given by the Hotel St. George to its guests and their friends took place in the ballroom of the hotel on Monday afternoon. Early in the winter, it was decided to allow any one outside the hotel interested-in the work of Mrs. Earle W. Hance, chairman of the Red Cross auxiliary at the Navy Yard, to contribute and pay for the card tables.

The result has been very gratifying and the guests of the hotel have joined in swelling the fund by paying, many of them, each month for their tables. There were thirty tables in play on Monday and forty dollars were taken in from the sale of tables and contributions. The Navy Knitters of Flatbush, of which Mrs. Michael P. Barr is the very active head, have been most generous supporters of the card parties and in giving knitted garments to Mrs.

Hance. In October the card parties will begin again and be continued through the winter on third Mondays..
