Harold W. (Esther Victoria Baylis), of 21 Morton Avenue, Freeport, L. a son, Nassau Hospital, June 23rd. The baby is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs.

Charles T. Baylis of Freeport, formerly of Brooklyn. Deaths CHITTENDEN-Mrs. Evelyn Betts, York, June 24th, Mrs. Chittenden was the widow of Professor Jonathan Brace Chittenden of Polytechnic Institute, one of the best-known philatelists and educators in Brooklyn, who died three months.

ago. She was born in Manhattan and married in 1900. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William F. Dalrymple, and a grandson, Stewart Chittenden Dalrymple, Services were held in the Fairchild Chapel, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

The body was cremated, and interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. CONNOR-Mr. Harry, Ashokan, N. June 24th. Mr.

Connor, who was a resident of 184 Columbia Heights and a prominent shipping man, was killed in a motor car accident in which Mrs. Connor was painfully injured. They had attended a house party together at the home of a friend near Kingston and with four other persons were on their way to the railroad station when, at a fork in the road, their machine was struck by another. Their car overturned and Mr. Connor, who was in the front seat, was thrown on his head.

Two other members of the party were painfully injured as well as Mrs. Connor. After the accident the other machine left the scene and was not identified. Mr. Connor, who was 55, was born in England.

He was traffic manager for the firm of Furness, Withy and was a member of the Crescent Athletic and Whitehall Clubs. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Florence Sheldon, and three daughters, the Misses Sally Joslyn, Rosemary and Cecilia Connor. Services were private with interment in Albion, N. Y. L.

I. Golf Music Weddings Debuts HOVEN-Mr. William at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Addison B. Hall, 495 Eighth Avenue, June 21st, Mr.

Kouwenhoven, who had been ill a week before his death, was a member of one of the oldest families in Flatlands, his Holland Dutch ancestors having settled in that section in 1632. He was born in Flatlands 82 years ago and resided in the old Kouwenhoven homestead there until 1900, when he built a home in Flatbush, which he later sold, For the last fourteen years Mr. Kouwenhoven had spent his time traveling. For many years Mr. Kouwenhoven was in the horticultural business.

He was a director of the Long Island Safe Deposit Company, the National Bible Institute of New York and the South African Mission. Throughout his life he was deeply interested in church work. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Meserole Kouwenhoven, two daughters, Mrs. Addison B.

Hall and Mrs. Arthur Buys of Nyack, N. three sons, Mr. Gerrit Kouwenhoven, an officer of the National City Bank; Dr. John Kouwenhoven of Yonkers and Mr.

Cornelius B. Kouwenhoven of Scarsdale, N. five grandchildren and a brother, Mr. Cornelius Kouwenhoven of Kings Highway, The services on Sunday were conducted at the home of a niece, Miss Mary K. Ditmas, 2220 Ditmas Avenue, by the Rev.

Dr. Charles William Roeder, pastor of the Flatlands Dutch Reformed Church, and the Rev. Dr. J. Frederic Berg, pastor of the Dutch Reformed Church of Flatbush.

Interment was in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery, LONGSTREET-Mr. Leslie, Arlington, June 24th. Young Mr. Longstreet, who was the son of Dr. and- Mrs.

Arthur H. Longstreet of 245 Seventy-fifth Street, was killed when his automobile turned over on a road near Arlington. He and his companion, Leslie Forguites, had left Brooklyn on Saturday and were on their way to Forestdale, Mr. Forguites' home, to spend their vacation when a right -rear wheel came off the car and it overturned. Leslie Longstreet was graduated from Colby Academy and was to have entered Yale in September to study electrical engineering.

THOMPSON Mr. Arthur, 62 Randall Avenue, Freeport, L. June 25th. Mr. Thompson, who was 73, was born in England.

He had lived in Brooklyn for many years, but took up his residence at Freeport 25 years ago. He started with the Brooklyn Furniture Co. more than 50 years ago, serving for many years as superintendent. He was president for 25 years, retiring a year ago. He was a member of the Damascus Commandery, Knights Templar, and Brooklyn Chapter Lodge, F.

and A. M. He is survived by four daughters, the Misses Florence and Jessie Thompson and Mrs. F. S.

Lee and W. T. Stevenson, and four sons, the Messrs. Gilbert, William, Edward and Harry, all of Freeport. Funeral services were held at his home Wednesday evening, with the Rev.

Walter E. Thompson, pastor of the M. E. Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenfield Cemetery..
